What is Niqat?

Niqat is a community platform for Ethiopians. You use it inside Telegram — no separate app to download, no separate account to create. Browse communities, join events, find your people.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Niqat runs inside Telegram as a 'mini-app'. If you already have Telegram, you're a tap away from everything.

How much does it cost?

Free. No ads. No subscription. No hidden fees.

How do I open Niqat?

Tap 'Open in Telegram' anywhere on this site, or search @NiqatNet_bot inside Telegram and hit 'Open'.

Can I start my own community?

Yes. Open Niqat → Communities → Create. Set the name, purpose, and description. You'll be the admin.

Can I host an event?

Yes. Inside Niqat, go to Events → Create. You can host voice chats, workshops, AMAs, meetups, and in-person hangouts.

Who sees my profile?

Only other Niqat members, and only the parts you choose to share publicly. Your Telegram username is never shown to other members unless you explicitly connect with them.

I found a problem. How do I report it?

Message @NiqatNet_bot on Telegram and we'll respond. Or open any listing / event / community in the app and tap the three-dot menu for 'Report'.
